Many parents consider homeschooling for a variety of reasons. It is important that you research your decision to make sure that homeschooling is right for you and your child.
We’ve put together some local resources for you to review and consider in your decision making process. Of course, the Internet has a huge selection of homeschooling blogs and resources and we encourage you to search out various homeschool methodologies and curriculum in your decision making process. - Home Educators of New Brunswick – this New Brunswick based homeschooling organization provides support to its membership by way of an annual provincial conference, monthly newsletters and an annual Professional Development Day. If you are just starting homeschooling, we highly recommend that you check out their conference as there is a free portion designed for new homeschoolers. Their getting started section of their website has some great info also.
- Home School Legal Defence Association – this is a national organization that provides legal council and insurance to its members. They also have great information for new homeschoolers here.
- Annual Home Schooling Application Form – this form is made available by the province. See here for the list of addresses on where to send the form.
- Homeschooling in New Brunswick – this is a .pdf document made available by the provincial government of New Brunswick.
